while trudging around in the fledgling snowstorm saturday along restaurant row of dekalb, i happened across one great and very sweet clothing store thistle & clover. founded by camilla gale and rand niederhoffer, this store highlights women designs from up-and-coming designers. i also like that they host open-calls for new work and have an active style blog. the clothing was unique, super appealing and often gorgeous. i was smitten by an incredibly soft cashmere-blend sweater by demylee above (they only had one left sadly) which had a really great neckline as well as a cozy off-white trovata sweater with togs and a hood lined in grey cotton. other temptations at thistle & clover included jewelry and bags so this seems like a definite quarterly destination. thistle & clover, 221 dekalb avenue at clermont, brooklyn, new york, 718.857.5577.
